Representatives of the Sinology Department at the Faculty of Philology of the University of
Banja Luka participated in the webinRenmin Univesar themed ‘New Vision of China-BH
Cooperation’, which was organized on 17 December 2022 by CAFIU (Chinese Association of
International Understanding), in collaboration with the ‘Bosnian-Chinese Friendship’
Association.
In addition to the new vision of cooperation between the People's Republic of China and Bosnia and Herzegovina, other topics were discussed, such as improving people-to-people exchanges and facilitating practical cooperation, as well as promoting exchanges and mutual learning between Eastern and Western civilizations.
Asst. Prof. Ljiljana Stević, PhD, Head of the Sinology Department at the Faculty of Philology of
the University of Banja Luka, talked about the development of Chinese ideas and theories in
international relations and the influence of Chinese history and philosophy on the current
positioning of China in the world.
The webinar was also attended by the representatives of the Beijing Foreign Studies University
and Renmin University of China, as well as representatives of the Chinese Language
Department at the Faculty of Philosophy of East Sarajevo and the Centre for Promotion and
Development of the ‘Belt and Road’ Initiative.
