Representatives of the Sinology Study Programme of the Faculty of Philology and the Confucius Institute of the University of Banja Luka participated in the online lecture on Chinese culture, organized by the Belgrade Institute for International Politics and Trade on 19 January 2023 in honour of the Chinese New Year.
The lecture on the use of traditional Chinese culture in public diplomacy was held by Asst. Prof. Ljiljana Stević, PhD, Head of the Sinology Department at the Faculty of Philology, while Huo Qifei, professor of Chinese at the Confucius Institute of the University of Banja Luka, talked about cultural taboos and the symbolism of numbers in Chinese culture.
The participants wished all their partners from the People`s Republic of China a happy Chinese New Year, the Year of the Rabbit.
