Doc. Dr. Aleksandar Vranjes participated in the Fourth workshop for young European leaders in China, as representative of Confucius Institute and University of Banja Luka.The workshop took part in Beijing and the province of Anhui in the period of 8 to 17 August, in organization of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the PRC – department for Europe, and a Chinese Academy of Diplomacy.The workshop aimed at improving understanding between China and European countries, and the topic was:“Innovations – Promotion of cooperation between China and Europe”.Participants in the workshop were representatives of 20 European countries, which were mostly employed in different ministries or cabinets and they cover the domain of international affairs.
The opening ceremony was held in the seat of the Chinese Foreign ministry, where the Deputy Secretary General of the European department, Mr. Zhu Jing, held an introductory lecture titled“China – Europe relations and Chinese foreign policy towards Europe”.Innovations and new technologies developed by Chinese companies were in the focus of the workshop.Huawei company presented the participants all the features of a 5G network.
The closing ceremony was held in Hefei, where the participants were addressed by representatives of the China Foreign Ministry, China Academy of Diplomacy and the Office of foreign affairs of the Provincial People’s Government of Anhui.
