With the beginning of the new school year, the Confucius Institute continues to organise elective Chinese language courses for secondary school and primary school pupils in the Republic of Srpska.
Due to the new circumstances, the courses have been adjusted to the current epidemiological
measures, and most classes will be organised through one of the online class platforms. As for other students, classes will be held at the Confucius Institute in the University Campus, and as soon as the conditions for that are met, classes will be organised again in schools.
The cooperation continues with the Vuk S. Karadžić Primary School in Banja Luka, with the Banja Luka Grammar School and the School of Economics in Doboj, where there are already over 100 pupils interested in learning Chinese.
In addition to the existing ones, cooperation has been agreed with the primary schools Jovan
Jovanović Zmaj and Nikola Tesla in Banja Luka, as well as with the secondary school centre
in Srbac.
The Confucius Institute at the University of Banja Luka is open for cooperation with all primary
and secondary schools, and the Chinese language courses are free of charge for all pupils. They have the opportunity to study the Chinese language and culture with native Chinese speakers and Chinese language teachers. At the end of the programme, they receive certificates of successful completion of the Chinese language course.
