On 23 May 2018, representatives of the Confucius Institute at the University of Banja Luka were invited to the Pale Cultural Center to take part in the 17th ‘Chinese Bridge’, or the Chinese Proficiency Competition for Foreign College Students, organized by the University of East Sarajevo.
Under the theme of "All Under Heaven Are One Family," 12 contestants demonstrated their knowledge of Chinese language, culture and history during the three parts of the competition: questions and answers, speech and talent show.
The Chinese Director of the CI Cai Ying was entrusted the role of a judge in this competition, while the Home Director of the CI Ljiljana Stevic had the honor to deliver the award to the second-best contestant.
Attending this event was very useful and inspiring for the representatives of the CI at the University of Banja Luka and it was a good opportunity for Ljiljana Stevic and Bojana Pavlovic, Head of the Department of Sinology at University of East Sarajevo, to talk more about the organization of this and other Chinese cultural activities.
